Our new beat officer is PC Chris Bates .
What’s going on in our area?
I have a number of loves in my life – my fiancé, my stepson, my puppy and (coming August 2024!) my daughter! However I also love data, and believe that sharing it in a useful way is beneficial for all of us. As such I have delved into my various systems to give you a flavour of what is going on in Lydden, Temple Ewell, River, Denton & Wootton the past 6 weeks or so:
35 crimes recorded since Feb 1st. Worryingly we have had 5 reports of theft from the Co-Op during this time, I will ensure our patrols are stepped up and am pleased to see my colleagues are investigating all of these reports proportionately.
96 incidents reported to Kent Police. Plenty of reports of poor driving in the villages, however worth noting that around half of these reports were resolved without deployment. This means we were able to resolve the issue over the phone, or Police were not the most appropriate agency to deal. to read more please follow this link
